However, information about accountants is available in only half of all submitted reports

Nearly half a million financial reports were submitted by Ukrainian companies for 2024, according to the State Statistics Service. However, only half of them include the name of the accountant who prepared the report — and 69% of those are women.
A total of 438,940 annual financial reports were submitted by businesses in 2024. Out of those, only 55% — that is, 242,329 reports — listed the name of the responsible accountant.
It’s worth noting that accounting in Ukraine is largely dominated by women. Among the companies that did name an accountant, 69% were women.
The most productive accountant in the country submitted reports for 42 companies. In second place is a specialist with 34 reports, followed by an accountant who filed reports for 29 companies.
Among the top ten most productive accountants, only four are men.
Unfortunately, it’s currently impossible to get a complete picture — only half of the reports contain information about the person responsible for accounting (in most cases, this is the chief accountant). It’s worth noting that in some companies, mostly small ones, the duties of the chief accountant may be performed by the director.
