Almost 200 companies are on the sanctions list of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) and are subject to restrictions as of mid-September 2025. However, the largest of these companies managed to earn over UAH 1.9 billion last year. A total of 123 companies were added to the sanctions list last year. More than 50% of the sanctioned companies are restricted until 2027.

197 companies are currently on the NSDC sanctions list. Despite the restrictions, some of them continue to show significant financial results.

The company "UKR GAME TECHNOLOGY", operating under the Pin-Up brand, became the leader among sanctioned companies in 2024. Its revenue reached UAH 1.97 billion. Smaller but still notable revenues were reported by High-Voltage Union-RZVA (UAH 71.3 million), Mashzavod (UAH 56.7 million), Tysagaz (UAH 41.1 million), and Avto-mat (UAH 19 million).

The highest concentration of sanctioned companies is in Kyiv, where over half of those on the list are registered — 112 enterprises. Much fewer are based in other regions: Odesa region — 17, Lviv region — 12, Chernivtsi and Donetsk regions — 9 each.

Most often, sanctions are imposed on companies operating in wholesale trade (31%), construction works (9.6%), information services and media production (4.1% each), as well as gambling operators (3.6%).

123 companies were added to the sanctions list in 2024. This is more than 62% of all those currently on the list. For comparison: in 2021, 38 companies were added; in 2022 — 20; in 2023 — 11; and in 2025 — only 5.

More than half of the sanctioned companies have restrictions lasting until 2027: 103 enterprises. Ten companies were restricted until 2026, another 40 until 2034. Some were sanctioned virtually for life: 28 companies are under indefinite sanctions, and for another 7 companies the restrictions are valid until 2073.

At the same time, the sanctions list is gradually being “cleansed.” Overall, sanctions were lifted from 32 companies, and for another 217 enterprises they expired after the set term. Among those removed from the list, the highest revenues in 2024 were reported by: M.S.L. — over 310 million UAH, Interimp — nearly 95.5 million, and Patriot — over 43 million.
