Which countries’ nationals most frequently establish companies in Ukraine?

Citizens from over 100 countries have founded more than 3,000 companies in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war. Most often, new businesses are started by foreigners from Turkey, Uzbekistan, Poland, and the USA. Kyiv has become the most attractive business region for foreigners.
Foreigners have founded 3,075 companies in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war. In total, citizens from 101 countries have opened businesses in Ukraine despite the ongoing conflict. The most active are citizens of Turkey, who have established 396 companies, accounting for 12.9% of the total. They are followed by citizens of Uzbekistan with 312 businesses (10.1% of the total). Polish citizens round out the top three, owning 224 businesses, or 7.3% of the total.
Citizens of the USA, Kazakhstan, Germany, Azerbaijan, Israel, the United Kingdom, and China are also in the top 10 for starting businesses in Ukraine. It’s important to note that a single company can have more than one owner.
Almost half of the companies with foreign owners were registered in Kyiv—1,517 in total. In the capital, citizens of Uzbekistan started the most businesses with 175 companies.
Lviv region follows with 460 businesses, primarily established by Polish citizens (105 companies). The Odesa region is third with 273 companies, most of which were founded by Turkish citizens (99 businesses).
The largest share of companies with foreign owners in Ukraine is involved in wholesale trade—30.7%, real estate transactions—6.7%, and computer programming—5.8%.
The company «ТЕНС1МА», with a charter capital of 1.28 billion UAH, is the largest business opened by foreigners since the start of the full-scale war. The owner of this business is a citizen of Armenia.
The second place is held by Closed Non-Diversified Venture Corporate Investment Fund Yugen with a charter capital of 700 million UAH. The ultimate owner is a U.S. citizen.
The third place is taken by LFS LLC founded by a Polish citizen, with a charter capital of 300 million UAH.
