Worker Salaries in Ukraine Are Twice Lower Than in the EU

The average salaries abroad are almost twice higher than for the same positions offered in Ukraine (according to Jooblе)

For example, in Ukraine, a long-distance truck driver can earn up to UAH 30,000, while abroad the same specialist can earn up to UAH 75,000.

The most popular countries that offer jobs to Ukrainians are Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, and Latvia.

Employers in the EU are mostly looking for Ukrainian drivers, long-distance truck drivers, general workers, packers, and loaders.

«High salaries are the key reason why Ukrainians become foreign workers. Employers in the EU understand that, so they often provide Ukrainian workers with accommodation, meals, even transfers to a workplace, and—sometimes—uniforms to allow a person to return home with more money.

Mostly, such benefits are offered to qualified workers to attract them. Unqualified workers receive them too but not as often and not so many as specialists do»,

Ukrainians are interested not only in positions that do not require qualification but also in those that need specialization, e.g. an engineer, welder, construction worker, and health worker.
