The IT sector brought $5.97 billion to the state treasury over 11 months of 2025, according to data from the National Bank of Ukraine. Over the year, the amount increased only slightly — by a little more than 2%.

Ukraine earned $5.97 billion from IT services exports during an incomplete 2025. This is 2.4% more than in the same period of 2024. However, it cannot be said that the IT sector is thriving: this figure is still 3% lower than in 2021 and almost 10% lower than in the peak year of 2022.

It is worth noting that IT services exports generate, on average, $543 million per month. For comparison, the average monthly figure was $612 million in 2022.

Currently, IT services account for 42% of total services exports. If compared with the country’s total exports (both goods and services), IT accounts for 12% of the overall export volume.

At the same time, exports of services decreased by 9% year-on-year, to $14.33 billion. Total exports of goods and services also declined — by 5%, to $49.21 billion.
