Over 2 million microloans were taken by Ukrainians in one quarter

Ukrainians took 2,138,569 microloans in the third quarter. The number of loans decreased slightly quarter-to-quarter — by about 2%. Over the past three months, people borrowed more than 13.7 billion UAH from microloan organizations.

ЗSince the beginning of the year, people in Ukraine have taken out microloans more than 6 million times — and the total amount of loans has exceeded 40 billion UAH.

Despite the slight decrease in the number of microloans, the average loan amount per quarter has grown. Currently, people borrow an average of 6,417 UAH from microfinance organizations. For comparison, at the beginning of the year, the average “before-payday” loan amounted to 5,773 UAH.

Repayment rates are not as good: since the beginning of the year, the total amount of outstanding microloan debt has increased by a quarter, reaching 25.15 billion UAH.

Opendatabot analyzed the financial statements of microfinance organizations — among those that have already published their data — and compiled a ranking of the top 10 MFOs in the country by income. The leader for the first three quarters of 2025 is UKR CREDIT FINANCE, operating under the CreditKasa brand, with an income of 2.4 billion UAH. For comparison, the company’s income for the entire previous year was 4.2 billion UAH. Second place goes to Credit Plus (Aventus Ukraine) with 1.67 billion UAH in income. Closing the top three is ShvydkoHroshi (SPOZHYVCHYY TSENTR), with 1.63 billion UAH earned in the first three quarters of the year.
