Almost half a million inheritance forms have been used this year

3.44 million notarial forms were used in Ukraine in the first half of 2025. This is 5% less than in the same period of 2024, and a quarter less than in the first half of 2021.

It is worth noting that more than one form can be used for a single contract or notarial act.

The most common procedure among Ukrainians was inheritance registration — 495,000 forms. This is 5% less than in the same period last year, and almost the same percentage more than in the corresponding period in 2021.

Demand for land transfers is also growing: 424,000 forms were used in the first half of the year. This is almost one-third more deals than in the same period in 2021.

At the same time, other real estate is being transferred less actively than before the start of the full-scale war — 402,700 forms were used for such deals, which is 17% less than in the first half of 2021.

The number of wills has dropped significantly — by as much as 15%, to 58,179 forms. Marriage contracts are also being signed less often — 3,561 forms, almost twice fewer than before the start of the full-scale war.

Another 79,827 forms were spoiled this year. The registry also recorded five cases of theft. This is significantly less than before the full-scale war, when 660 forms were stolen, but more than last year — when only one such case was reported.
