In December 2025, a cup of espresso in Ukraine costs UAH 41 on average. Over the past year, the price of a cup of coffee rose by 17%. Overall, the price of espresso has almost doubled since the start of the full-scale war. The most expensive espresso is now in the Lviv region, while the cheapest coffee can be found in the Khmelnytskyi region.

Coffee in Ukraine has become more expensive again: the average price of a cup of espresso reached UAH 41 in December 2025. This is 17% higher than in December last year, when a cup of coffee cost UAH 35. Overall, the price of espresso has almost doubled since the start of the full-scale war.

The most expensive espresso is now in Lviv region — UAH 47 per cup on average. Over the year, the price there increased by 19%. For the first time in recent years, the region topped the coffee price ranking, pushing out the long-time southern leader. Odesa region, which had the highest coffee prices for two years in a row, took second place in December 2025 — UAH 45 per espresso.

However, not all of Ukraine drinks coffee at Lviv prices. The cheapest espresso for the third year in a row can be found in Khmelnytskyi region — UAH 33 per cup, even though prices there also rose by 18% over the year. An espresso for UAH 35 is available in Zaporizhzhia and Kirovohrad regions.

The largest annual price increase was recorded in Sumy region, which is close to the front line: +26%. Despite this, the average price is still below the national average — UAH 36. Notably, just last year Sumy region was among the regions with the cheapest coffee.

Espresso is the base of every coffee drink, so its price directly affects the cost of any beverage in a café.
