What are the addresses of mass business registrations and why should you pay attention to it

There are currently 1,286 addresses of mass business registrations in Ukraine, according to the Unified State Register (USR). Most of them are located in Kyiv, Kharkiv region, and Odessa region. The highest number of businesses registered at a single address is in the capital city, with over 2,000 companies.
Over 140,000 companies are registered at mass registration addresses in Ukraine. These addresses are defined by Opendatabot as locations where more than 50 different companies are registered. Checking an address for mass registration can help avoid fraud and potentially unreliable business entities.

The majority of companies at such addresses are recorded in Kyiv, with over 101,000, accounting for 71.8% of the total. Also in the top three are the Kharkiv and Odessa regions, with over 8,000 (6.3%) and 5,000 (4.1%) respectively.
The same regions also lead in terms of the number of addresses. In Kyiv, companies are registered at 815 addresses (63.4%); in the Kharkiv region and the Odessa region, there are 105 (8.2%) and 65 (5.1%) addresses respectively.
The largest number of companies registered at one location is in the capital: at 12 Melnykova Street. This is the legal address of 2,363 companies, of which 1,978 are active and 385 are inactive.

Registration of a company’s location at addresses of mass registration can be considered one of its negative characteristics when planning cooperation with such a company, according to arbitration manager Denis Lykhopyok.

In particular, such re-registration most often occurs at the initiative of managers and owners of businesses who seek to avoid financial responsibility on the eve of bankruptcy proceedings. Sometimes, such a course of events may even be planned from the outset of such a company’s activities»,
