PEs’ Tax Debt Increased by Almost Half a Billion UAH

PEs’ tax debt rose by UAH 451 million to UAH 7.2 billion over eight months of 2021. Of this amount, 2.4 billion is owed at the national level and 4.8 billion at the local level.

The overall tax debt increases every year, though part of the PEs usually pays off their debts closer to New Year. For example, last year the figure peaked at UAH 7.2 billion in November and then went down to UAH 6.8 billion at the start of 2021.

The biggest tax debts are owed by PEs in retail (UAH 1.7 billion), wholesale trade (UAH 900 million), and warehousing (UAH 487 million). Their respective debts account for 26%, 14%, and 7% of overall PEs’ debts.

The top PE debtors have huge debts. The No. 1 debtor is Valeriy Volchkov who owes UAH 281 million to Ukraine. His debt makes almost 4% of the overall PEs’ tax debt.

Maksym Kirakovskyi took second place with a debt of UAH 99 million. Ihor Bahrii who has to pay UAH 81.5 million took third place.
