Last year, only 17% of raiding cases went to court

In Ukraine, a new raiding case is opened every day

n 2023, there were over 360 cases of raiding reported. Most investigations are initiated for document forgery. However, only 17% of these cases made it to court last year.

In 2023, Ukraine saw 363 cases of raiding, almost three times more than in the first year of full-scale war. However, it is still 1.6 times less than in 2021 when 597 cases were recorded.

Last year, on average, 30 raiding cases were opened each month. For comparison, in 2021, this figure was 50 cases per month.

Overall, 16.8% of cases related to raiding go to court, a decrease compared to 37.3% in 2021.

In 80% of raiding cases opened in 2023, decisions have not been reached yet.

The majority of raiding cases, almost 68% or 245 investigations, were opened due to document forgery (Article 205-1 of the Criminal Code). Only 55 cases related to this article have reached court hearings.

17% of cases were opened for obstructing lawful economic activities (Article 206 of the Criminal Code), totaling 62 criminal investigations. None of these cases have proceeded to court.

The smallest number of cases related to raiding, only 15%, involve the unlawful seizure of property of enterprises (Article 206-2 of the Criminal Code). Out of 56 criminal cases last year, only 6 have reached the court.
