Within a year and a half since the start of the major war, as of the end of September, 840 enterprises in Ukraine have moved to safer regions under the relocation program, with 667 of them already operating in their new locations.

Currently, under the government program, enterprises can transport their production facilities from territories close to or within the combat zone to sixteen regions of the country. The majority of businesses have chosen Zakarpattia and Lviv regions, with 120 and 199 companies respectively. Chernivtsi region, with 78 relocations, and Ivano-Frankivsk region, with 70, have also made it to the top of demanded safe regions for entrepreneurs.
On the other hand, the least sought-after regions were Odessa with only 3 businesses, Zhytomyr with 6 companies, and Kirovohrad with 17.
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has been implementing a program for the relocation of Ukrainian enterprises in territories affected by the war from the early weeks of the conflict. Applications for relocation can be submitted through the “Prozorro.Sales” system.
Any enterprise from regions affected by the conflict can join the program. After the application is approved, the business receives a package of state support, including:
Currently, relocation is possible to one of sixteen regions: Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Rivne, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kyiv (excluding Kyiv) regions.
