Study of Law Firms’ Financial Performance by Loyer and Opendatabot: Top 20 with the Highest Turnover

FOZZY COMMERCE headed the list of law firms by turnover in 2020. It is a company of Fozzy Group that also owns the famous Silpo supermarket chain. Asters and Sayenko Kharenko took second and third places, respectively.

The study by Opendatabot and Loyer was based on the financial reports of companies working on the general system of taxation. The financial performance of companies and PEs under the simplified system of taxation was not taken into account, since this information is not publicly available. The rating included only the companies from the top 100 by turnover with law-related NACE codes. The financial figures of accompanying LLCs and legal associations were aggregated as well as those of several firms if there was an obvious connection between them.

Some companies may seem out of place in a law firm rating. For example, the leading FOZZY COMMERCE belongs to Fozzy Group. Ukrainians know this business group, first of all, as the owner of the Silpo supermarket chain, though it also has an interest in the restaurant, banking, and other businesses. We reached Inna Krushynska, Head of Legal Department at Fozzy Group’s core company FOZZY RETAIL JSC, for comment. According to her, FOZZY COMMERCE LLC does not provide legal services despite having a corresponding NACE code, whereas FOZZY RETAIL does.
