The Opendatabot Index is an analytical tool that allows evaluating the real situation and geography of Ukrainian businesses. The index is based on data from state registries, Opendatabot registries, financial reports of companies, information about ties to the Russian Federation, sanction lists, and other analytical tools of Opendatabot.
In compiling the Opendatabot-2024 Index, both financial indicators (financial reports of companies for the year 2023) and the business reputation of companies were taken into account. In particular, the list excluded companies under sanctions or businesses with owners from the Russian Federation. Additionally, the index marks companies associated with public figures, deputies, or politicians who are required to declare their incomes.
It’s worth noting that municipal and state enterprises did not make it into this year’s list.
«Built on the financial reports and revenues of companies, the Opendatabot Index provides a complete picture of what happened with the Ukrainian business in 2023»,
— commented Oleksiy Ivankin, the founder of Opendatabot.
The index reflects the perspective on Ukrainian companies from the standpoint of current state registers, so it may differ from the perception created in the public information space.
Indicators by “weight” and the share of the industry and region are calculated based on the top companies and their turnovers. This approach allows us to understand and assess the impact of a particular region on the economy of the entire country, the financial capacity of industries, and the position of the largest players in each industry.
To get a more detailed look at each specific industry, you can use Opendatabot classification of types of economic activity. It sorts industries according to specific criteria and gives you a deeper understanding of the economy’s structure.
