18 May 2021

The number of operational restaurants decreased by 14% after the spring lockdown. Also, their turnover dropped by 12%.

In late March, a lockdown was imposed in Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa, which wasn’t lifted until end-April. The red-zone restrictions stipulated that restaurants serve only take-away food. In some regions, restrictions were lifted earlier, resulting in a slight rebound in end-April.
